1. Get box
2. Drill vent holes in box.
3. Place substrate in box (newspaper is sufficient)
4. Place heat pad under one end (keep the box raised slightly)
5. Place snake in box
pretty much like that

Like mark129er said except you will want to place your heat pad on one side (under the box) hook it up to a lamp dimmer, put your thermometer probe over the UTH,
put substrate in (I use aspen shavings)
put in hides, water bowl, climbing sticks, etc...etc....

The Mischief:
Neptune, Zion, Enigma,
1.) Pick up a decent book on Ball Pythons. Read this over several times until you know it like the back of your hand.
2.) Buy a decently sized rubbermaid. Drill holes all the way around the rubbermaid. Go very slow while drilling the holes. The first time I drilled holes in rubbermaids, I made a few attemps drilling fast, and it continuously cracked the rubbermaid. I shortly found out that slow drilling is the way to go for perfect holes.
3.) Put in your substrate, whatever that may be. Do not use any softwoods such as cedar.
4.) Put hides on either side of the enclosure. As ball pythons live in the ground in nature, you will want to make the hide a 'humid hide' by putting a moisturized substrate in the hide.
5.) Put a heat pad under the rubbermaid. Purchase or make a rheostat, your temperature control device. BEFORE BUYING THE SNAKE, set your hotspot and ambient temperatures correctly.
6.) Put in a waterbowl big enough for the snake to submerge in.
7.) Get your beautiful new CBB ball python and place him in his home.
