Question My snake is constipated lol! help :P

Yep! He did some yellows poops during the last three weeks but absolutely no brown thing?? I tried to feed him yesterday and he didn`t want any dead food , not even live food. Except that, he acts normaly. As far as I know, he doesn`t have any illness. The temps are ok! I tried to bath him this morning and it didn`t worked at all.

any tricks?

Thx for all :grab:

give him something large enough to soak in for him to have room, put it in his enclosure. Usually the second day after water changes is another water change for me, they just love to go in their fresh water lol. Bathing usually won't work in this type of situation, would you go under such stressfull goings on, but a large soaking dish (both of my 8 ft Bco can fit in theirs together [sweaterbox]) will usually work

My snakes poop like clockwork when i give them a bath. I would give both ideas a try.

I'm assuming this is your Ball Python you are talking about. Are you sure he is constipated? Ball Pythons can go quite a length of time between movements and are rarely ever constipated. When was his last one?

yep, its my ball! His last "Brown" was 3 weeks ago. He did some "Yellows" during this time. I tried the bath thing twice this day and he didn`t reacted at all?!? The temp of the water was warm (not too much). I tried to keep him down there but doesn`t like bathing ;p. He isn`t afraid of water, he just go away ! What should I try now?!? :grab:

3 weeks is nothing to worry about. Your ball sounds fine to me. As long as he is behaving normally (doesnt seem to be in any discomfort, etc) then I woudln't worry. Ball Pythons hate the water and the whole ordeal is quite stressful so I would just forget bathing him and leave him to his business.

swimming ball pythons

our ball likes swimming, we have a clorine free pool that we've let her swim in, same with our boa

boa being latin for large water snake.
