Question Taiwan beauty Question

A real quick Question..Is a Taiwan beauty a member of the rat snake family? If not who do they belong to?

Thanks very much.

Ratsnakes is a very loose and incorrect name for most of them. If you mean the genus Elaphe, then beauty snakes are on they're way to not being Elaphe. It's still up in the air about it. But seems like the change is eminent.

I believe many call them Orthriophis now.
