feeding ? & shedding ?

my lady shed last night.... came out good... i seen a lil bit of blood towards the end(the butt), nothing big. i put a mouse in the tank but she didnt eat it...

so i have 2 question that i would 2 know the answer for please

1. what is the reason for the blood ?

2. how long after she sheds can i feed her ?
(its beens 10days)

I'm told the blood is normal for a shed. It comes from the vent area. There shouldn't be too much though.

When you say "put" a mouse in the tank, was it a live mouse, or a dead one?

My bp's eat in shed, out of shed, going into shed, the day they shed; I don't really think their cycle matters. It may for some. Maybe she just wasn't hungry when you offered her the mouse.

A little blood with a shed is normal, I don't really know why, though. Maybe because when their ventral scales shed off, they have to pull kind of hard. I just kind of thought of that, I really have no clue. I do know it's normal, though.

Chances are if your ball python isn't eating, it's because it has decided it's not hungry. Offer it food occasionally, but remember, most bp's go off feed in the winter.

I agree with mykee. It probably wasn't hungry.

I just moved all my snakes into new homes, And they were in shed. so I waited till they were out of shed, and then I am waiting a week to feed them. Just so the can actually get accustomed to their new environment....

Most of the time there is no blood with my BP's but sometimes there is. Just depends on whether it is a difficult shed or not.
Was the mouse live?

sorry it was a dead mouse ! she idnt eat it so i threw it out....
she been out her hide box more in the corner but right now she is moving around alot.... i feed her on saturdy.....

i have another question............

1. when the snake body is regular but when they are curled, the skin is like stickin out like r albe to pinch..... thin strip i was wondering if they are hungry ? or some other reason.....
