Poecilotheria housing?

after the new year begins I'm planning on getting a few Poecilotheria. I'm curious what you keepers house adults in. I was figuring large critter keepers but is the 10in height enough, on end would there be substrate loss? what are other not too expensive housing options other than 10gal aquariums on end? Here in the desert humidity holding is a factor to remember as well.

Hey rev, I was suggested to use them plastic container which you find buk candy in. They're supposed to be transparent, tall and cheap. I was also thinking of looking for transparent tupperware. The kind cookies are sometimes stored in. Saw someone post about those in the other site. Basically anything plastic, tall, with a secure lid, and transparent, would work and be cheap too.

that will probably be how it winds up, I was hoping for an idea so while they were up I could get in low lol, for some reason opening a lid and getting a pokie running up my arm just doesn't appeal to me

Maybe build a drawer system into the bottom, like they do for the arboreal boids.

Hmmm... you could actually build one out of acrylic...if you have the time...
The drawer system suggested by Vanan sounds great....maybe also incorporate some sort of shelf that you can pull out and in just so you can dump some crickets on it outside then close it??
