I Just Got My First Veiled Cham.........
..............yay.............. I got him last night from ICULIZARD (thanks Megan). He is such a cute little baby. His name is Chester. Eating like a pig already, I thought he might take some time to settle in, oh no, eating everything in sight............lol. I just wanted to let you all know because, without you knowing, you have taught me a lot about chameleons just from reading all the posts from you guys..............so thanks
Sue

Congrats on the new addition, Sue! How old is he? They're so cute when they're little, eh?? (Not that they're not cute when they're older... they're just more... dinosaur-like with all their spikes and stuff when they're older................. I think I need some sleep.)
I'd love to see some pictures if you manage to get any on your computer

Awsome. You are at the first stage of Chameleon addiction. A life long sickness that will fill your house with many more to come. LOL Love to see a pic. Happy for you.
Cheers,
Garrett

Kate: I believe he is about 3 mths, but I have to double check with Megan.
As far as pics go.............I am using a really crappy computer right now, as the mother board is fried on my regular one.... Thus, I'm having difficulty with the program for my digi cam. If I can get it figured out any time soon, I will definately post some pics. Otherwise, I will be taking pics with a regular camera and posting at a later date.
Thanks guys for all the congrats............I can already see Chams becoming an addiction....
Sue

I'm glad that it sounds as though it's at least 3 months! At least it's gotten a good start. He'll be doubling the size in no time I'm sure
You should look into getting those CD's made when you get a roll of film developed.. I dunno if it's expensive or not though.
Congrats again

Congrats! Hope he does well for you... I myself haven't had much luck with young veileds. I'm sure you'll do fine though (especially with the help from everybody on this site)

Well Chester seems to be doing well. He ate 13 crickets yesterday and about the same today. He is also very active......LOL, he is soooooooo funny. I picked him up yesterday, only for about 2 minutes so not to stress him out. When I picked him up, I came from under him (to not overwhelm him) and he climbed onto my finger, very reluctantly. Then, while he's on my finger, he starts puffing, stancing and holding his mouth open.............LMAO I have such a little tuff guy..............
I picked him up again tonight and he climbed onto my finger quite willingly and climbed up my arm for a minute, then I put him back............this little guy is making me laugh all time..........

Yep. Yep. That's how the addiction started for me... one single lone male Veiled so many years ago.
Anyways, have fun with Chester. Chameleons are chock full of personality as you are quickly finding out.
Cheers!
