what cracks me up is often if you have different internet providers in the same city and you make a connection between the two the route often goes outside of the city, province and even country. ie when i had both dsl and cable when i was in ottawa the route from one computer to the other would go from ottawa to toronto to detroit, over to new york up to montreal and back to ottawa. scary part was, both these computers were on the same desk.
