Bad temper

Well, here's the thing...over the past 3 months i've noticed that my Ball started hissing quite a lot. She hasn't struck on me yet, which is good but whenever i open the top to change the water, myst the cage or to pick her up she tenses up and hisses. I've had her for about 7 months and she didn't do that at all in the beginning.

Besides that she eats like a champ (every 6 days mostly, sometimes less or more) and moves around the cage for water and stuff frequently. Her temps and humidity are also on the spot.

I've been trying to analyse the factors as to why she's getting so damn pissed off all the time and i think i might know what it could be. Both my snakes stay in my basement (my room), which is also room for my drums and it is where band practices take place. Whenever we do practice i move both snakes (Ball and Corn) to separate enclosures (Medium/Small Rubbermaids with soil, water dishes and heating) on the third floor inside the guest room. I do that just so the intense noise and room vibrations won't drive both of them mental.

I've been doing that with my Corn for almost 2 years now and she is a sweetheart about it, whenever i put her in the second enclosure she coils up right away and naps, and doesn't move until i put her back in 3 hours later, and when i do she goes to her spot and does her thing again. But when i move the ball she gets squirmy and hisses/tries to escape.

Now i don't know if this is actually stressing up my Ball or if she's just a short tempered snake. And if it is stressing her up, i'll probably just move her entire enclosure to the third floor.

Keep in mind that i NEVER handle then, except for those occasions (3 times a week) and cleaning. What do you guys think? Does anyone here have a bad tempered ball or is there no such thing?

Ah yeah, theyve been known to be a little pissy now and then. I would moved them to a different location on a perminen basis. And if you have "soil" as a substate, I would change that too. And maybe just start handling it a bit more than you have.

What i meant by "soil" was substrate, the word "soil" just popped in my head cuz it has the same principle and i couldn't think of the right word, it's the same substrate i use in her main enclosure (cypress mulch).
