Housing 2 together??

I have 2 female commons and i have them in seperate tanks right now. I think I could build a way better custon enclosure for them. After I built this could I put the 2 together. And what size would you recommend for 2 6 footers? I am tired having them in these 2 tanks and I would like to use these tanks for something new.

No.
Each snake needs it's own cage. They live alone in the wild they should live alone in captivity.

If you were to build for 2 6' boas, I would recommend 2 cages at least 4 x 2 x 1 (L x D x H), which would give them enough room and keep them seperate without taxing a lot of spare room. When it comes to boas like this, you'll need more floor space than heigth.

I keep one pair of my boas together 24/7 except during feeding. Keeping you boas seperate helps make it easier when keeping records and an overall eye on things.

When you say tanks, what size tanks are you currently using?

Well, it would only take one floor sized piece of wood (4x2) to turn one 4x2x2 cage into two 4x2x1 cages. For the minimal amount of work it would add to your building project, your boas would get substantially better care and be much "happier". Like Trevor said, snakes generally don't live together in the wild and often become stressed out if they need to compete for hiding spaces in captivity. They are secretive animals who live solitary lives.

So, the answer is... no. Of course you could go against this advice like 1/2 of the people will but your snakes will be better off if you just give them each their own enclosure.

I keep the small ones together for the first part of their lives..don't want to spend my whole life making enclosures..lol...but as soon as they get 2 ft they go into their own enclosures...it is best for them stress wise.
