the only word I messed up on was "iprmoetnt." I thought it was prominent, or impotent or something.

Interesting....

A buddy of mine studied speed reading a while back and he said that when people first learn to read that is letter recognition that they learn first and then we move to word recognition. We don't really READ each word, we just recognize them. For this type of speed reading they were told that they would be able to recognize sentences after a while and then even groups of sentences.... not sure if this is how it really works but that's what I was told...

I've seen this before recently... The thing that really amuses me is the only words I personally stumble over are the ones that don't have the correct letters.

iprmoetnt in Corey's post is missing an 'a' to be important and has an 'e' it shouldn't There were a few others as well in other posts. But it's definately an amusing thing to observe!
