Woman partially swallowed by python
Hmm.. wonder what kind of python it is... burm? retic? Which of the giant pythons are native to Bangladesh?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RANGAMATI, Bangladesh -- Police in Bangladesh say villagers beat a huge python to death after the snake half-swallowed and killed a woman.
An official says a 38-year-old-woman was collecting wood in a southeastern forest when the python attacked her. The nearly 10-foot snake wrapped itself around the woman, crushing her. She had been swallowed up to the waist, head first.
A mob of villagers killed the snake with iron rods and sticks before retrieving the woman's body.

I'm surprised the snake didn't get the whole body in... usually if they can get over the shoulders(which is hard to do unless you have a VERY big snake) they swallow the whole thing. It's kinda hard to believe a 10 footer got that close. Or maybe the villagers caught it before it could even completely swallow her? Meh

Oh and by the way retics and burm are native to southeast asia, which includes Bangladesh. I believe the part of the constricting because it sure can happen with that size and even smaller, but I'd say they're exagerating with the snake eatings....

I don't believe this for one second. A snake not even 10 feet long swallowing a grown human? lol ok
I won't argue that a 10 foot snake couldn't kill a grown human because I know they can...but they would never swallow a person to the waist.

a 20foot retic could easily swallow a small to average sized woman. have you seen the pics/video of them eating FULL SIZED goats and gazelles? they eat things with 2 foot horns, ontop of a body possibly bigger then a woman.

I think that story is a load of ***** I really don't think a 10 footer could even partially swallow a human being, kill them by constriction yes; even a snake much larger than that has problems even getting over the shoulders.

Show me the actual picture of a snake eating a person and i'll believe it. I think even a large retic would have trouble eating a fully grown human. We aren't built like most prey animals, we have HUGE shoulders comparitively that are at totally the wrong angle to go down easily.

Guys, take into account this was not a 6’ 150 pound American lady. The women of that part of the world are tiny. She may well have been 4 1/2 feet and 70 to 80 pounds. I have never seen a 10’ tic with enough girth to pull this off, but I have seen plenty of 10 foot burms that are absolutely huge. I am not saying I buy this either, but it defiantly is not impossible.
