Don't know what you mean with dogs, but I would only clip beardie nails if the dragon has a toe that was broken, and so grows sideways. Otherwise, I would just give them a rock or piece of cinderblock. Let them wear their nails down. If you simply must trim, only trim off the sharp part so as to aviod injuring the dragon.
