Purple Jew (plant)
Hi all,
I know a wandering jew(plant) is safe but is a purple jew (plant) ok to use. My mom has clippings from a purple jew and i would like to put a hanging plant in the enclosure for neo (veiled cham) and am just wondering if it is ok to use this. I'm a plant dummy and don't know if it's the same plant with 2 different names or if it's actually a different plant all toghether. Thanks for any help Jamie.

have to put the (plant) in or else it's not politcally correct lol. I'm really not sure but if I had to guess I'd say they are the same.

Hey Jamie,
I found this site:
http://www.ncfarmsinc.com/w-products.../purplejew.htm
It looks as if it's the same thing and the term "Wandering Jew" is used more often, as I can't find anything on just Purple Jew. Though I didn't look extensively.

if you are worried if it has toxic properties, find a toxic plant list. This list is usually common for people, cats, and i am assuming reptiles.

choriona- i do have a list that i have printed off and keep with me at all times (incase i run into a really nice plant i have my list with me.) The wandering jew is on it but it says nothing about the purple jew. I did a bit of search and chatting with trace last night and i'm going to give it a shot (when the plants ready) and if i notice any ill effect i will remove the plant.
Thanks everyone for your help!!!
