Egg Laying Behaviour???

Hey, everyone!!! Last night when i came home from a halloween party, i noticed that the substrate in my female cresties nest box was all messed up. So i thought to my self maybe some eggs, so i checked but i didnt find anything. Well tonight i caught my female with her head buried in the substrate in the next box, so i left her alone so i wouldnt stress her out. Im going to check for eggs tomarrow. Is this normal behaviour for a female about to lay eggs? Do females without eggs do this as well?
Thanks

One of our girlies (cresties) dug for 4 days before she laid her eggs.... I don't think it unusual. The next time she laid it only took her 2 days.. hope this helps.

Have you ever seen this behaviour with a female who has no eggs?
Thanks

The first eggs i got from my female she was digging for a few days but then the second time she just sat at the bottom of the tank for 2 or 3 days and then laid them, so i wouldnt say it's unusual behavior. my babies dig alot but i've never seen an adult dig when she doesnt have any eggs. good luck and keep us posted.
