3 New Cages

Well, Crystal and i built 3 new cages, they took
about 1 1/2 hours each... if even that. They are
4' long x 2' deep x 1' tall. Heated by human heating
pads. Hot spot is 93 and the cool side is 75...
talk about a nice gradiant.

haha, could have sworn i had added these...

Nice cages, but is there any litter dams on them?

if not, ive had cages like that before, and believe me when i say they will fall apart quickly.

urine, feces, and tipped water bowls will ruin the front tracks and make a mess on the cages below.

what you may want to consider is putting a 2 inch barrier of melamine the length of the cage just inside the glass tracks and silicone the inside well.

Where do I get these "human heating pads" and how much are they, I've got a rack system that needs heating?

They may not work too well on a rack system...
but you can always try, i got mine at walmart.
There are two sizes, the smaller comes to about
23$ and the large comes to about 30$

Where did you find the locks for the sliding glass doors? I just built two cages myself and I can't find them anywhere.

Nice looking cages by the way.

Ryan,

I picked my sliding glass door locks at Canadian Tire. I think Home Depot carries them as well.

The one and only Home Depot here really sucks because I tried there with no luck, Canadian Tire as well. Even the place I bought the glass from doesn't have them, I guess I'll just keep searching.
