hiding

I just recently got a Leucistic Texas rat snake and he has been hiding under his substrate for about two days now and wont come out. A friend of mine told me that he is just nervous and will come out eventually. I would like to know what the problem is and what I can do. For now i will just leave him alone and see if he starts to peek out now and then.

It sounds normal to me most new snakes will do that. Chances are that he may come out at night.
