Good field herping trip
We received a call from a lady in GA telling us that she was having some problems with snakes in her yard. Of course we were skeptical, as we get these calls often and no snakes are ever found. We went over to her house and we were presently surprised. We didn’t have any hooks to catch them, but we sure got some nice photos.

Yep, think we found a hot spot. No reasonable known cause for this activity.

Alright Scott, you caught me. =) These are some of ours. We are working on a web page, sort of a field guide to the venomous species of the southeast. We took them out over the weekend for a photo shoot. Was the first time some of these ever saw the wild. Ha ha

Chuck. Its always great seeing pics like that . Send me a copy of your field guide. I dont know if you have seen it but there is a great field guide to venomous snakes of florida that has all the species on it including scale counts and coloration. might be useful to you.

Those last two pics are amazing! Really cool how they can just vanish in their natural environment.
I also really like your southern copperhead. I think they are the pit viper I find most attractive.
