Big snake need big attention
I just got that nice beauty on saturday, her enclosure was too small...
You can see on the first pic, her nose got no more scale, for long... how long?
And why? Respiratory infection, yes, so she scrub her nose around from been
uncomfortable with it. You can see too that she got damaged scale (she has this all way down her body) on the side because she had no place to stretch as been keep in a 4x2 feet enclosure for a 12 feet snake. And yes giant snake need a lot of food... so don't stop feed it because it get too big too fast!!!
Now she got a new home and enclosure, 8x4x4 feet with a water boll of 3x3 feet and a round front.
I know that have been talked a lot around but for new people that want giant snake think a head of the size it will get in 1 or 2 year from the cute little snake you bought at the store...

Thanks
I'm waiting for the lab result to know witch kind of bacteria she got, then
i'll know what to give her to get rid of this. For now i have to clean the nose and
nose drop 2 times a day till i get the result.
T-O your enclosure is very nice, that is the next step for me, put a few plant in.
I use 4 feet high just to be able to get in for maintenance.

Yea if mine was on the ground I would have made it the same hight as yours, but then it would have been harder to heat!

Good for you for taking proper care of that snake, that poor thing looked like it was in rough shape before it got into your hands, she's still beautiful nonetheless. Great looking enclosure and setup too.

It might sound like a rescue but i did pay a good price for it and did a 16 hour of drive to get it. I'm kind of use to those situation i have a other one that
was a wc (different species) it was take out of nature too old and was stock at the
trance shipper going in and out to pet shop they almost give me that snake
you can't imagine all the work i done with it and get close to the sharp end, but this is a other story. I should put his story in a "Should i get a wc or a cb"
topic. For me it's all choose but some time when you get those rare snake
offer to you and they are in so bad shape.
