Yellow bellied turtles

Are they allowed in Toronto or Scarborough, cause they have one at the store, but there not for sale, they said somethinga bout By-Law

Of course they are allowed... it's a slider. Close relative of the RES (Red Eared Slider).

You may import turtles, but you may not sell or give them or their offsprings away. That is why most big pet stores will not carry turtles. Just the small independents and private sales.

It's not a by law, but an import requirement from CFIA (CDN food and inspeciton agency).
