My free snake
One of my daughter's friends gave my this female BP, just got tired of her.
She's a real sweetheart! He said he was feeding her a mouse every 4 days or so!
She looks good but I'm going to try to get her on rats. I fed her two days ago, she eats f/t mice. I gave her 2, she only ate 1 I guess that is all she is used to.
She has really good weight though, hard to believe she is only eating mice.

Here's another pic, kinda shows her size better. I don't have a scale so I can't weigh her. Gotta get one of those

I always find it funny that people can't believe a mouse eater is large my largest females all eat mice and they are plenty large enough. Sure rat feeders take less time too feed but feed them what they want and they'll be healthy enough. I have one female that will only eat bigmac meals hey at least I got her onto supersized though

Give her a whole week maybe more, then try. Once you see her roaming her enclosure hunting for food you'll know she's hungry you can try her then. Try a rat that is the same size as a mouse at first, nothing to big. Also try scenting the rat with the mouse by rubbing the mouse all over the rat.
Good luck and congrats on a great score!
Cheers,
Trevor

Morph
It wasn't so much that she is eating mice
as it was that she has been fed *1* mouse a week. I have much smaller females that are eating mice and taking 2 or 3 at a time. Oh well, guess it has been working for her so far I'm going to give her a rat today and see what happens.

SUCKERS! That BP is beautiful. has a reduced pattern and awesome color. Take good care of her, and she will be very rewarding.
