Nice.
Looks like he didn't do to much damage, probably was good that he didn't get a peice of your hand. Might have been much worse.

Sorry to hear about that but also glad to se the pic. I always wondered how much damage a large boa bite would cause and what it would look like. Thanks for posting it and I hope it heals quickly for you.

hehe
he got me with half of his left jaw, the long stripe of dots is his lower left jaw, and the two little stripes are his upper left jaw
it happened so quickly and out of my sight so I can only suppose this (with his position on me too..)

I should have taken a pic of my hand after Sunday's SFE (stupid feeding error). I keep some of my snakes communally. A large female and her 6.5' mate were both due for feeding (usually I feed them on dif schedules to lessen the risk of feeding accidents, my oops #1) Well the male dropped his rabbit and went to check hers out. At this point I figured I'd feed him in a rubbermaid to eliminate any accidents. Well I knew he was in feeding mode, so I actually used a hook on him. I then went in with my other hand to grab him mid body. Well he got off the hook came arround and grabbed full on to my hand and wrapped my arm. To all those who have only been "hit", being grabbed hurts a whole lot more and does a lot more damage. However I would rather take the SFE than try to untangle 2 full grown snakes. And here's some wisdom or all who have read this entire post. The best method to get a snake to release is to pour a jug of warm/hot water over it's head and into it's mouth. Works like a charm guaranteed.

LOL thats a good hit i remember my first kiss by my lovly ladie. My 4.5 foot boa was up on my neck and i was talkin' to my brother so i gave my girl a little kiss mid body and BAM i got a full fledge kiss smack right on the lips lol. Didn't hurt at all i was suprised i figured i'd but her back in the cage to consider the amont of love she just gave me before she gave me more of that lovin'. LOL gotta love them snakes. Just got bit by her again today takin' my watch off and while i was taking it off she came in for a look and when it popped off it hit her in the face she didn't like that to much so she decided to show me how much she didn't like it by choppin' on me lol.

POISONOUS:
Ouch, best one I got was a female adult Malaysian Blood Python in the arm pit....that stung bad even more when she would not let go for about 3 minutes. She is better now, and the arm pit is a reminder never reach in a cage without a shirt on to change water...lol.
Cya...
