Re: New to frogs need info quick!!

I can't be of much help, as I am not experienced with Golden's. Sorry. Generally though, insects should be dusted several times weekly with a cal/d3 supplement. If you aren't gutloading your insects, its a good idea to alternate the calcium with vitamin supplements as well. Even if you do gutload, it doesn't hurt to dust with vitamins a couple times a month.

It isn't his responsibility, nor is it a common practice, to be handing out caresheets on the animal. It is the buyers repsonsibility to research the animal and have everything setup in advance of the purchase.

Polypedates leucomystax, Golden foam nest frog. From Southeast Asia, tropical forest dwellers. Daytime temps of upper 70's to low 80's. Humidity 60-80 percent. For food, gut loaded crickets, mealworms, silkworms, waxworms (these are high in fat, don't feed too many or with great frequency), may feed a pinkie mouse once every one to two months. Offer dusted crickets once a week. The type of water you use is Very important. Read this! http://www.livingunderworld.org/amph...rticle0006.htm
Lots of climbing/perching spots, clean water at all times. If you use live plants make sure they are of a non-toxic variety. Plastic plants can also be used. Search the web on White's tree frog caresheets, their care is very similar to the Golden nest frogs, or find a good book on tree frog care. Good luck.
