leo eggs

hey i was just wondering,a few of my eggs have a little bit of mold growing on them,i've heard that athlete's foot powder can kill the mold,my question is after i put it on the egg do i just leave it on?thanks

I heard not to put on the eggs but around them because it restrictes breathing.

If your eggs are healthy and fertile you should not have issues with mold. Only if you have soaked them too much will mold develope. If your hovabator is running about 80-85 % humidity and your vermiculite is moist but not soaking you should have no mold. If you do, just wipe it off and drain out any excess water from your vermiculite. It could be that the egg is not fertile.
Eggs which are fertile glow pink inside when candled, while eggs that are infertile are solid white, or white with orange mold on the outside. Only glowing pink eggs will hatch, so get rid of the non-glowers early to avoid mold issues. Check them out by shining a flash light at them. If you see a pink glow you are doing fine.
