Exclamation Need help with Uromastyx

Hi,

I have an adult male Mali Uromastyx that has runny stool. He was recently imported and I got him from Port Credit Pet Centre. Well, he looks beautiful (yellow) and he is active but I'm worried about the runny stool. Are there any steps that I can take to help him? I kind of want to avoid the vet if I can. Is there anything I can do for him in terms of diet, supplement, or heating?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I would like to get him into perfect health as soon as possible.

Thanks!

Collect a fecal sample and have it tested as soon as possible. Almost 90% of uros are still being WC. There's really no way to avoid the vet in these situations. The fecal shouldn't cost you much, maybe $15-$40 cdn. It's better than losing the animal all together

even less, i got one done for 10 bucks at reptilia, you live in markham thats not to far form this place, if you haev the time you can go there and get it done. I would suggest you dont take any chances with that, it could have parasites.

good luck!

I have a few Uro's and if you are feeding them to much greens that hold alot of water it will make his stool runny. Get him checked out but don't get to worried i am sure he is fine.

What type of greens are you feeding him? and how much of it are you feeding and when are you feeding?

Sometimes that can be caused my excessive moisture in their diet. What types of foods are you feeding him? What temperature is his basking spot and his ambient cage temp?
