Sperm Plugs

What do sperm plugs look like (in a Ball Python)? I hear about them all over, but I've never seen one. Please explain! =)

Thanks,
Jennifer

There is a pic of them in my gallery. Just click on the camera next to my name and it will take you there. Also Dan Sutherland in the Breeding Ball Python video by Dr. Seaward shows how to "pop" them.
Cheers,
Trevor

Not to divert this topic, but has anyone noticed sperm plugs in colubrids? Not sperm left behind on the newspaper but a true sperm plug. Anyone?

Wow, thanks guys. Since I posted that question, I saw one. I was soaking my male BP in the bathtub a couple weeks ago (found a mite in his cage ) and I noticed a white slimy booger! I figured that is what it was, and I was right =)... does this mean they are fertile? :-\

...

No it doesn't mean its fertile. Being infertile doesn't mean you don't have sperm. It means you don't have motile or GOOD, alive sperm.

That's right Jeff, good point. It just mean that he's at least old enough to produce sperm. Whether they can swim or not is another matter.
