ok, my male has taken a small rat 2 weeks ago, and has just refused his 2nd meal,
is it too soon for the males to stop eating?
is it common for them to take a rat, and then refuse them latter?
and could you post some tricks to switch to rats
thanx

Is it about to go into shed ? if so most BP's wont eat from right before shed and untill they shed...... Are the temps right ? if not it could be to cold to digest and is refusing pray.......... those 2 things are about the only thing i can think of but i would say that it is probably because it is about to shed....
I had a male go off last year on Sept. 28th. Right now I've got two females that are on week three of what looks like the begining of their winter fast.
Cheers,
Trevor
My snake is a rodent disposal with or without blue eyes. She'll eat any time I offer prey so far. All snakes are different but if your temps are right and he's digesting correctly there shouldn't be a problem even if he is in shed. It all depends on your snake. I agree with the others though. He's probably going off feed early.

To go along with what mykee said there is no early really. It all depends on where you are and the individual snake. We do try and schedual everything they do and that way of thinking is changing and I think it is for the better.

Trevor
