which bill was this?

Caught the middle part of a documentary last night, so I missed the introductions and the credits. It featured a guy named Bill field herping in Costa Rica with a side-kick who's name is something like "Alejandro". I was wondering if that Bill is any of the Bill's we have here, or if anyone knows who he was.

FYI, the guy was freehandling corals and yellow-bellied sea snakes, but used a hook on the cascabels.
