I read that this was in fact the man lying as the snake had been dead for some time. A case of trying to sue WalMart for something they had nothing to do with.

I find it ironic that a man shopping in a store that has done so much to diminish wages and benefits in the retail sector is asking them to pay a medical bill. LOL! What's the matter man, no health benefits of your own?? hahaha The guy's probably a liar but I say make them pay anyway, screw Devil-Mart!

Yeah, sounds a bit far fetched, guy probably had the rattlesnake on his person then made up the story to try and get some money.

Sounds like a hoax to me - stomp a rattler in the parking lot or at home, take it in to sue Wallyworld. Besides, if he'd been bitten, wouldn't a test show some signs of rattler venom?

Raven,
I guess it depends on whether or not you are trying to support a family. That $10/hour may be great if you live with your parents or share an apartment but it's no good to someone who has a family and needs a house and car and the many other things needed to have a family. Not everyone at that stage of their life has had an opportunity to necessarily get a degree and a good job in their chosen field. Wal-Mart has busted unions, preyed on the very young, very old and most disgustingly, the disabled to staff their stores and fought to lower or eliminate minimum wage statutes. That is the criticism of this multi-billion dollar corporation. Their greed knows no bounds. This is not a business that brings prosperity and valuable employment; it is a parasite.

tru ..i see what u mean.. im only part time, and i know the full time people make more than me..and i also think that the Sam's Club is a bit better wages and stuff then actual walmart, and we close at 8:30 so no late shifts (and i dont know if its different or the same in the states as the new canadian stores)...i dont really know much about walmart, im just somewhat employed by them (just got the job like 3 weeks ago)
not arguing with anyone here

While mousekilla comments of WalMart doing serious damage to the financail status of low income families employeed by them wage wise is founded it is also of note to notice that Wal Mart offers a HUGE selection of qaulity products to the low income family at the cheapest retail rates anywhere. I know as a parent in a family of six that I shop at Wal Mart all the time for great deals on every day neccessities and it has saved me tons of money. So while their workers do suffer bad wages and benefits, their customers save huge money by shopping there. A good and a bad. Out of curiousity how does wal marts pay package compare to other retail giants such as Zellers or Sears?
