rattlesnakes

Was out for a walk with my dog and saw a rattle snake .This is the first one i have seen.I belive it is a prairie.Any info on these would be appreciated.It was about 3 feet long and not to threatend.How toxic would bite be to my dog?

most dogs I've seen bitten swell horribly but seem to suffer little tissue damage. Sounds about the size of a 2 year old. I would consider it lethal anyway but doubt it is a threat unless the dog harrasses it pretty good

were u near the badlands I go there some times and i've seen one once probably best thing to do is stay away from them for info try these sites...

www.reptilesallasorts.com maybe they'll have info.

Well Kayla unfortunatly the only dog runs where we can let the dog off leash are in the coulees.The one area is posted with signs but where i ran into this one was well away from that area.We also see these things when playing golf at the 2 local courses which happen to be in the same area.Thanks i will check out the site .
