Send me a PM, I'm looking for a full site to design. I'll give you samples of my work as well.

I designed my own, and built it with the help of my friend -- she helped me with the coding, and then I made a few minor adjustments and filled in the content
There are several programs available out there to help you design websites... these work great as long as you aren't wanting anything too fancy. If you want something more original/complicated, you'll probably end up having to get someone to build one for you...

Yup, I made my own too. A lot of free servers like freeserver (lol), geocities, etc, offer "fill in the blanks" types of sites, so you just input your own text and pictures and links and it makes the site for you, so you don't need to learn any HTML or anything.
But like Jenn said, if you want something more original and complicated, then you'll need to take courses or get someone to make you a site.

You can learn HTML coding on your own too, it's great for when you can't sleep or find yourself with some extra time on your hands.
Or you can download something like Dreamweaver, and play around with it.

Even with Dreamweaver, you need to know what you are doing. Dreamweaver makes a lot of "assumptions", and if you don't know your HTML code, these assumptions are hard to correct.

I built my own. HTML is easy to learn. Do a search for HTML tutorials and go through a few of those...
