Chameleon Reference Book

i am looking to buy a really good reference book on chams and have no clue which one to buy ... Chameleons : Nature's Hidden Jewels i think looks really good .. but i dunno
as long as it is the best one out there ... any suggestions? (also want it to have awsome pics to refer back to)

The Petr Necas book is a good one, but it doesn't cover a lot of the info you're probably looking for. I've found that having several to refer to helps with sorting out the gray areas. "Jewels" is going to set you back a fat chunk of change too. You may also consider "Chameleons: Their Care and Breeding" by Linda Davison, "Masters of Disguise" by James Martin, "Care and Breeding of Chameleons" by Philipe De Vosjoli, or my latest addition: "Amphibians and Reptiles of Madagascar" by Henkel and Schmidt.

There's lots of them out there, you just have to decide on the first and the rest will follow. Its kind of like keeping chams, it all starts with just one...

I found this book to be very very helpfull, Havent found abook I completely agree with on all things yet but this one is really good

The Panther Chameleon Furcifer Pardalis: Color Variation, Natural History,
Conservation, and Captive Management by gary ferguson is due out in janurary .. it should be really good, so maybe i will pick up that one, and another one with all chams in it .. one of the encyclopediea sized ones (if i can find one)
