How old do you think he is???

He is eating 1 medium mouse a week.

Hi Alex,

On that diet he could be a year old already or more who knows. Ball pythons can eat a fuzzie rat right out of the egg, or a pinkie rat at least. A 2' ball can eat a small rat for a joke. He'll never grow on that diet. If you want to him to grow and you don't want to have to feed him ten mice at a time when he is full grown I would switch him to rats asap.
Cheers,
Trevor

My bp is almost 20 inches, eats a large hopper mouse (medium to large mouse) once a week and she is almost 5 months now. Judging from the info you provided, I'd say your snake is around 5-7 months, but the growth rate of balls is dependent on many different factors.

My yearling male is 3ft, but then again, I am feeding him large rats. You should step up the prey size. He can be downing small rats easily right now. He'd probably take two.

Ya step up the size of prey....the size of the snake has nothing to do with age. My male was about 1 1/2 feet at 4 months, and my little female is 25-26 inches at 5 months.....so age does not equal size.........a newly hatched baby BP can handle an adult mouse......so up the prey item.
