Eeps...okay, this just happened to me too. First thing, calm down. Really slowly and methodically, look inside everything in your room. Drawers, shoes, boxes, suitcases, laundry hampers...EVERYTHING. Don't think that just because something is closed that Hugh couldn't get into it. Look everywhere.

Good job with closing the doors. When you finish looking in your room, make a sweep of the house, too. He may have slithered out before you noticed he was gone. Pay special attention to fridges, computers...anything that gives off heat.

About four hours after he went missing, I found Huxley in a soap drawer. It's the worst feeling to look in your snake's tank and not see him there. You'll find Hugh, just be calm.

PS--Here's a link to my post...people gave me some really helpful advice (especially since my first reaction was that he was stolen...) click

the straight-line distance between his tank and the soap drawer was only three feet, but he probably had to travel ten or eleven to get out of the door and around the wall to the drawer. He was pretty close by, though, and snuck into a relatively quiet, traffic-free area. Generally, they stay pretty close to their initial location when they escape.

My door was closed at night when he escaped, so I guess he squeezed under the door, But he was across the lil hall to the left in my sisters room. On the far end of her room under a wicker dresser. It was VERY complicated getting him out, b/c the dresser was VERY close to the ground. LOL
