Stupid stupid snakes....
The feeding repsonse in these guys just takes over all reason and judgment for them. I was teasing this dude with a mouse and he went and bit the side of the Rubbermaid and started to constrict the mouse with the rest of his body. Well, I couldn't have that so I teased him with ANOTHER mouse and he went nuts after that one and ended up having both in his coils.
5 minutes later they were gone. So I fed him 4 more adult mice.
And tonight, he's cruising, looking for more. What a machine!!

He's looking mighty thick Jeff! You must have an army of females to line him up with, right?

Last night we had a baby corn do the opposite - she bit the prey and constricted the side of the feeding container. Then she proceeded to eat like an arboreal snake, kinda perched on the side of the container. The feeding drive of corns, kings, and milks never ceases to amaze me.

Both my kings have to be cut off when they begin to look like snake-skin sausages. They digest in like 2 days and are back looking for more. The pain of these snakes, I find, is that you have to feed a lot of small prey instead of a few larger ones because of their tiny little heads.
