Well, it depends. I also play hard rock and techno which has alot of bass to it and I play it quite loud. I notice because of the vibrations (which in fact shake my house) cause the snake to be alert. Although I have an idea toward this. I know it will stress your snake out, but it could possible help it out. Having a snake that is more alert and active will help its overall health. In my opinion though...

If there is vibrations that vibrate the ground where your herps are, it will bother them. If it is more base than treble, it will also bother them. High pitched sounds may bother some species, but the vibrations are what I would be considering. They use vibrations on the ground to know when either prey or predator is coming, they can tell, and if the music is loud and the vibrations are booming, they will be on constant alert and this may cause stress. Radio music wouldn't be a problem though, but really, who listens to radio music these days.

I've never seen a problem, but then my snakes are in another room... loud metal doesn't seem to bother leos too much though

Having no outter ears, snakes are nearly deaf and can only hear very low pitches. The vibrations in the bass can stress them out.
Lizards and amphibians can hear both the sound and may become stressed. Some species have much more sensitive hearing than we do, and that should be taken in to consideration.
Neither should be housed in/on units that also have speakers in them, as vibration and sound are most intense, and loud music should be in moderation and adapted to the situation (ie- if you have stressed out animals then avoid loud music as it will not help the situation).

I always make sure I don't blare my music too loud as I have three herps in the same room and a majority of the rest in the next room. I'm quite certain that the vibrations would aggravate them.
