This is a tough situation. The tourism industry needs these animals to get the tourists to come, thus they are, in a sense, driving conservation efforts. Yet, in the end its also contributing to the demise of the animal it first set out to protect...
I don't think its as simple a question as ban discos or ban whale watching. Without these dollars there will be NO incentive for the indegeounous peoples to protect their environment.

i was just kidding when i said ban the disco! it wil never happen! it would like asking the whole world to live without light! and i doubt many people would do that!

Its a sad fact of our current civilization that no matter how un-invasive we try to be, we always affect some type of flora or fauna ina negative way...
