Well someone did a piss poor job of packing a snake. The UPS guy probably aged a few years though.

Hmmmm... now if someone cornered me and pinned my head and pulled me a$$backwards out of a place that was already frightening me I think I would consider that a pretty huge threat!
Quote:
Murphy said the box that the snake apparently chewed through was about 1 1/2 feet wide, 1 1/2 feet long, and 6 inches high with one air hole.

LOL... I have to meet this snake that chewed out of a box! That's one special snake!
Poor snake, wonder what happened to it? Wonder if it was convescated or given to the new owner? Its this kind of crap publicity that keeps the hobby in such a fragile state... just a few idiots can make such a bad name

I was sent a herp in an unmarked box by UPS also (PM me if you want to know what "breeder" sent it). It was a light box, so it was probably tossed all over trucks and stuff too. Sad.
Yeah, I thought te same thing too, Linds. LOL

This happened in my backyard (South Jersey). I went to work and several people brought the article in from the local papers. Fortunately, the "press" was not to hard on us herpers.

The guy who bought this snake is a member of one of the other forums I frequent (BCforums on Bob Clarks site). The guy shipped the snake incorrectly (I am being very nice here!), and the snake escaped the box. They guy who recieved the snake got it back, and is not being charged with any thing. He is being fined for his permits not being up to date, and his landlord is very angry about what she saw on the news.
By the way, he named the snake Chewboxa!!
