Congrats! That's an awesome present for sure! As for putting things into jpeg format, what program are you using? In the lower Adobe photo programs (3.0) you need to export your picture and when you do that it will give you the option of what you want to export it is, choose JPEG. In Photoshop 7.0, when you save you file, hit "save as" and again it will give you multiple options to choose from. Those are the only programs I know, hope I could be of a little assist
