2ft boa feeding size

I have been feeding my 2ft boa a medium mouse once a week. I would like to get her on one of a good sized prey, but I don't know what to step it up to. I would like to switch her to rats. What size do you think she could handle? I'm all for stretching her out a bit, but i don't want to give her anything too large. I dont know what you would call small rats..so what are they called and about what size are they? What would they be called from rodentpro.com? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

you could prob give her a couple rat pups or even a weaned rat, from rodent pro.

i feed mine 2 weaned rats every 7 days. she still wants more but i wont give it to her.
and she is about 2 1/2 feet.

Rat pups or maybe a couple of adult mice.

We cannot tell you what size to feed your snake, as 2' foot boas may not all have the same girth, as well as one persons idea of a certain prey size may be different from the next. General rule of thumb is to give your snake something roughly the same size as the largest part of your snakes girth. Boas are capable of feeding on rats pinks from birth. The sooner you can switch your snake to rats the better it will be. Nothing worse than a big snake that will only eat little prey

That's a great rule of thumb... if you're into underfeeding your snakes.

An even better rule of thumb is to ignore that "largest part of the snake" myth, and give your snake a big enough meal to leave a significant lump in their belly. We don't have a single snake, be it colubrid or boid, that we feed according to their body size, and they are all very healthy, growing like weeds, shedding regularly, shiny scales, yada yada yada. Especially with boids, you should be giving them at least 1.5 times their largest girth. As they get into adulthood, you can go even bigger than that.
