Is it possible to block this forum??
I mean the jokes are funny and all (not really), but there was like 20 new posts and I was all set to check out some neat reptile stuff and all I got were these lame - *ss recycled jokes. I don't want the forum gone, because people are obviously using it. But is it possible to block an entire forum so that when you check "new active posts" I don't have to view these?
Coolio. Thanks!

maybe making it private but giving the password out to all members would keep it from coming up as active topics? Other then that I dont think you can block/hide a forum as all posts go through a single server and it doesn't 'sift' through them.

I agree..I check the site through the recent posts and I really don't like digging through all the stupid jokes to get to the good stuff. I don't think the forum should be deleted, and I do like other posts that are posted in the General forum, but there have been a surplus of jokes lately..and yeah.

Ugh I know, I'm really not liking this forum. (no offence meant to the people who do)...but I like reading about herps and stuff, now I have to search through all the joke posts...

yea i just love when i check the new threads and see
BLONDES!
HOW TO TELL YOU'RE A REDNECK
MY WIFES A DIRTY TRAMP!!
Yea, the jokes are funny but c'mon there is no need for all that, a few a day is cool but flooding the entire active thread area with jokes is ridiculous considering its not a joke site. Hope i didnt sound like too much of an @$$hole. Just my 2 cents.

There would be no differance if these posts came up on the new threads here or if they came up in the general discussion... I think Snip3r was just trying to help out and fill up the new forum...
For everyone though, lets not spam it again.. hah hah!!

Subscribe to the threads you frequent often, then go to your profile when you log in. It might make it (if you find it really that bad) just that much more bareable (sp?)

Okay. So people complain about jokes in the general forum so they change the site just for what, 2 % of the members, and still people complain? Gimme a break. No offense, but anyone annoyed by jokes must be leading sad lives. This may be a site offering info for herpers, but at the same time we are here getting to know one another, and off topic stuff like jokes is a part of it. Get used to it, they can only accomodate so many of you before ending up with 100 differnet forums! Seriously.........
