Question Food Item Selections

I have read that in the wild bp's eat small birds and small reptiles as well as whatever rodents they eat. Does anyone feed their bp anything besides mice and rats? I was just wondering if maybe feeding a variety or something like that would be good for or hurt the snake. (i have not given my bp anything but rodents, i was just wondering)

Nope, haven't fed mine anything but mice or rats. I'm sure if they eat small birds and small reptiles in the wild it doesn't hurt them or they would be extinct! I think they can get the most nutrition from rats and such, birds are pretty much feathers and bones.

I know of a few people that offer their ball pythons chicks every once in a while, but it is not their steady diet.
