borneo blood BALL python?????
I got to this website where they auction reptiles.......this guy or girl is selling something that he calls a blood ball python.....is there such a thing? To me it looks like a blood python or a really red columbian boa.....more like a blood python though.......can go here http://www.reptibid.com/cgi-bin/auct...tem=1062115071[/URL]

I looks like a borneo short tail maybe a cross with a blood. Damn expensive though!

I have seen pics of a borneo crossed with a ball. I never saw a price on them. They are very cool looking.

thats a Python brongersmai, also known as a blood python.
theres no ball or borneo short-tail python bred into that snake.
great lookin snake though!

Yep Grant is right its a pure blood python, no cross would be that red (or look exactly like a pure one). Check my gallery, my blood is exactly like that.

red dragon, what characteristics gives you the impression that it has borneo blood in it?
im asking this as im working on a species identification page on blood pythons for my new website and would like to know your reasoning , and maybe incorporate , something i may have missed, when it comes to ppl identifying the 3 species.

Grant, she was going mostly on my word there. I said blood x borneo because of the black in the tail. I've never seen that on a blood. (Then again, I was never into bloods until about a month ago.) Plus the fact that it was listed as a Borneo Blood.
As for it being borneo blood ball... apparently the owner is just a dolt who thinks any heavy-bodied snake is called a ball python.

Bloods typically have black tails (excluding Ivory and Albino).

no worries invictus,
all three species of the blood complex have back tails. i dont think ive seen one without it.
