I would think - correct me if I'm wrong - but having ONE contact for reptile rescue in Alberta would be a smart idea. Just my opinion, but, I personally would be wary of an individual offering rescue services (maybe they are just aquiring cheap animals to turn a profit? etc). I would be more willing to give up an animal to a group that has approved caregivers. I think it would also give a better picture of reptile abuse/neglect and the needs the TARAS and The Edmonton Reptile and Amphibian Society have to address.
Just a thought,
Jaylyn

Oh, and then it would be in the better interest of the animal to be placed with someone who actually has experience with the species - especially when resuces often require the extra care.
