Blood versus Type 2 anery Nicaraguans Pics
Here are a pair of my Nicaraguans, the female is a blood and the male is a type 2 anery.
Both of these mutations are naturally occurring and are simple recessives.
Nicaraguans are awesome!!!
Enjoy
Dan

Beautiful snakes! But one question...I'm confused...they look like "red tailed boa's " or is that just a general name for boa's????? Now I'm really confused!

Dan,
Those guys are killer!
sapphire_moon,
Many people call BCI redtails, though these are not true redtails, the name was applied to Colombian BCI decades ago by dealers in an effort to increase the dollar value of Colombian BCI Nicaraguans are just a different locality of BCI, typically smaller than COlombians, and usually have a busier pattern as well and also tend to be darker. They are extremely variable in colour as Dan has demonstrated.

They were born and bred on a boa farm in Nicaragua, I have no idea of the name or where it is. These animals were orginally brought into the U.S. by Ben Seigal and then made there way into Canada from there. I bought them from another collecter here in Canada when he decided to get out boas.
Sorry I was not much help.
Dan

Thanks a lot dude....
