They reason they keep them on sand is so they look good and can sell them. they dont care if there healthy or not, they just want to make a sale.
Dont worry, you tried your best.

Hmm...maybe I should make a trip to Kansas and have a "talk" with them. Seriously though, you're trying your best, so, all you can really do is hope they give your advice a try. I really wouldn't want them to have to learn the hard way.

Oh ya! Thanks for the idea kyle. But we already have a "walkin on eggshells" relationship! It's only one fight after another here. Thats why me and my partner are leaving ASAP. We came back becuase we were lied to....actually we went through Indiana, both ways....going to Mass. And coming back. Pretty state you have there....better than here.... ......Oh and they would only have you arrested and thrown in jail for harrassment......they are such a**holes

Well did I mention they took away not only their only source of a hide but their only source giving them a cool spot? It was a plant (fake) that gave shade.....great hide huh? now there is nothing they can hide in......or under....they also have a mirror in there.....don't know why.....maybe they liked the responce they get from them.....they (beardies) seem to just ignore it..... and the part of the state that I seen was on the highway.....even stayed at some motel there......very nice people....

Here's a suggestion. If you don't want to upset anyone by changing the sand then get a sifter and sift out the big particles. This should help prevent any impaction problems you may be worried about, I'll bet?!?

You are doing the best you can in a tough situation and I really feel for you and those poor beardies.
It's a tribute to your own strength of character that you are nothing like your parents.

Well, that's a positive sign. Maybe his conscience is starting to really nag at him and he'll come around after a while.

maybe...........I think they (he) sifted the sand...I was able to sneak in there and it was a fine sand.....with very little bigger stones.......But still no hide....or cool spot for that matter..not even one of those cheapo thermometers (sp?) that you can stick on the side of the cage...

Well they put some hides in ther......1 cut up shoe box, that if the beardies do go in there it won't even cover half of their bodies. But hey, atleast it's something.....
