Hi Steve,
Thank you for the clarification. Do you suppose this black throat color is for display to say, "Im a girl over here!!".... have you seen female - female combat in your salvadorii? Are some localit-specific salvadorii different than others in behavior/calm/aggressive behaviors?

Thanks Steve, You're a Wonder at this!

I don’t know maybe it is to advertise breeding readiness, I know the colors are more intense when breeding, as for combat I only witnessed male to male in upstanding posture! Horn also witnessed this with his captive, we are in a race! For the first who take photos of this, bet on me Mark! You know aim younger and faster then Georg I will hit the shutter quicker then he will, now all I need is to see this again, they just don’t dance often. As for behaviour it’s really hard to say but I think Merauke have better disposition then sorong and Jayapura, and the new Salaweti seem to be very nice and smaller too!

As you know I will study them for the up coming years, I think we will learn much more on them. Talk soon cheers

Hi Steve,

As Both you and Georg are Good Friends of mine, I elect not to take sides!! haha, but I 'suspect' you will push the shutter quicker than Georg. I have seen komodos and bengalensis tripod dance, but salvadorii would be amazing!!

Regards,
mark
