They are both parasitic diseases caused by microscopic protozoans and can sometimes transfer between species depending on the strain that's carried. Some are more species-specific than others.
****-SID-ee-ah is how you say the second one, and its a class of many different protozoa rather than a specific disease. Cryptosoridiosis, crypto for short, is the most dangerous type of coccidia because it is very hard to kill and jumps to almost any reptile. Fortunately it's very rare compared to the rest of the class of coccidial nasties.
