Yeas, nicola, the females do squeeze super tight it seems (probably to thermoregulate), but the eggs are huge. Easily 1.5x the size of chicken eggs. They are tough as nails.

They aren't always coiled tight. But I'm also not sure how much air the eggs really need anyways. Hmmmmm.......
