Pictus are fantastic. Their care is exactly as leopard geckos, so it's really a no brainer.
The exception is that they breed year round, and the female can be bred to death. It's very important to keep at least 3 females per male, or to seperate a male and female if she shows signs of stress. Mine lay eggs pretty much every 4 weeks and they incubate on dry substrate in a humid incubator. 50 -70 days to hatch and they are very small too.
They are very fun to watch and with plenty of work you can hold them, they are nore timid than leos are and a little bit quicker!
All in all, I adore mine. But then again I just love geckos!

I am also thinking of getting some pictus, I read that they are terrestrial, but they like climbing.
I just got a plastic 3 drawer system, each drawer has the same floor space as a 10-gallon (180 inches sq.), but is not as tall...
Is this a suitable enclosuse for them, also, are pictus available at most pet stores, and what are the prices like?
-Thanks

I breed them* cough *cough* oh yeah, Um what me? I wasn't advertising it!

Anyways, I am pretty sure I know what kind of drawer system you mean and it is definately big enough. I use the same thing for my pictus and leos. Pictus will climb so you need to make sure that the cage furniture doesn't come more than half way up the sides of the enclosure. They are prone to falling off of things and if it's too high they could be hurt. They certainly don't think before they jump! They are not too often found in petstores. Pet stores usually sell what's most popular at the time, and since pictus are still fairly new in Canada, I suppose they just haven't caught on yet. But with their easy care, handlability, and cool attitudes they will certainly be competitive with leos in the years to come.
