re-sizing photos

can someone explain how. i have alot of awsome pictures that i would like to upload onto here.

I use Photoshop, but any picture editors can do it.
(Ms Paint is no good for that).

You have to play with the dimensions and on the "saving quality".
For example in photoshop you have a "save for web" option that compress your picture without quality loss.
Playing on dimentions really helps, and cut out the parts unneccessairy.
